Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience working as a paraprofessional, instructional aide, or in a similar classroom support role
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated patience, flexibility, and empathy when supporting students of varied abilities
  • Familiarity with classroom routines and a willingness to assist with behavior management and instructional activities
  • High school diploma required; some college credits or relevant coursework preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist classroom teachers in implementing lesson plans and supporting instructional activities
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support for students who need extra help
  • Foster an inclusive, respectful, and safe classroom atmosphere
  • Participate in collecting data and tracking student progress as directed
  • Support students with special needs under the guidance of teachers and specialists
  • Help supervise students during transitions, lunchtime, and other activities as needed
