Key Qualifications:

• Connecticut Paraeducator Certificate required
• Experience as a paraprofessional in an educational setting preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students and staff
• Able to adapt and assist in diverse classroom environments
• Reliability and commitment to the full school year
• Positive, caring attitude and dedication to student success

Role Responsibilities:

• Support classroom teachers with instructional and non-instructional tasks
• Assist students individually or in small groups with assignments and activities
• Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
• Provide specialized assistance to students with diverse learning needs
• Supervise students during classroom transitions, lunch, recess, and arrival/dismissal
• Follow teacher directions and school protocols at all times
• Contribute to ongoing communication between staff, students, and families as needed

Position Details:

• Elementary School hours: 8:15 AM – 3:15 PM
• Middle/High School hours: 7:15 AM – 2:15 PM
• Full-time, 35 hours per week
