Key Qualifications:
- Connecticut Paraeducator Certificate required
- Experience as a paraprofessional in an educational setting preferred
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students and staff
- Able to adapt and assist in diverse classroom environments
- Reliability and commitment to the full school year
- Positive, caring attitude and dedication to student success
Role Responsibilities:
- Support classroom teachers with instructional and non-instructional tasks
- Assist students individually or in small groups with assignments and activities
- Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
- Provide specialized assistance to students with diverse learning needs
- Supervise students during classroom transitions, lunch, recess, and arrival/dismissal
- Follow teacher directions and school protocols at all times
- Contribute to ongoing communication between staff, students, and families as needed
Position Details:
- Elementary School hours: 8:15 AM – 3:15 PM
- Middle/High School hours: 7:15 AM – 2:15 PM
- Full-time, 35 hours per week
