Qualifications and Desired Experience: • Prior experience as a paraprofessional or instructional aide, ideally within elementary settings • Familiarity with individualized educational strategies and accommodations • Ability to build rapport with children and collaborate with teachers and support staff • Strong communication skills, patience, and adaptability • Commitment to following school and district policies and maintaining confidentiality
Key Responsibilities: • Support a single 2nd grade student during classroom activities, transitions, and social interactions • Implement teacher-provided or individualized plans to reinforce lessons and learning objectives • Assist with fostering positive behavioral and social-emotional growth • Adapt your approach based on the student’s needs throughout the day • Maintain daily logs or notes to track progress and collaborate with educators and families
Schedule Details: • Part-time, four hours daily: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday (11:45 AM – 3:45 PM) • Wednesdays run on an early-release schedule, with four consecutive hours tailored to the school’s adjusted day.
