Support students’ growth and learning as a Paraprofessional with a contract opportunity near Davis, CA. This role is ideal for someone with a background assisting in preschool and elementary settings, particularly those comfortable working within a Resource Specialized Program. As a classroom aide, you’ll collaborate closely with teachers and specialists to provide both in-class support and assistance with pull-out sessions, making a meaningful difference each day.
This full-time assignment runs from as soon as possible through early June 2027, with 30 hours per week in a vibrant elementary environment. You’ll work with a dedicated team committed to nurturing academic and social-emotional skills in young learners.
Desired Qualifications:
- Previous paraprofessional experience, preferably with preschool and elementary-age children
- Familiarity with Resource Specialized Programs is a plus
- Ability to assist students one-on-one and in small groups, both in classroom and pull-out settings
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and families
- Patience, flexibility, and an encouraging attitude
- Organized and proactive in supporting individualized education plans (IEPs) when needed
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment
- Support students with academic and behavioral needs as identified by the education team
- Help facilitate specialized programs and interventions
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to educators
- Supervise students during transitions, activities, and other designated times
- Contribute to a safe, supportive, and welcoming school atmosphere
