Special Education Para Professional in Dearborn, MI

Make a meaningful impact supporting elementary students as a full-time Paraprofessional during a leave coverage position spanning September through November. This contract role provides the opportunity to work in an engaging school environment near Dearborn, MI—creating supportive learning experiences and assisting students one-on-one.

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous paraprofessional experience, with a demonstrated background in school settings
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers and staff
• Ability to build rapport and trust with elementary-aged students
• Adaptability and patience in a dynamic educational environment
• High school diploma or equivalent required; further education in related fields is valued

Core Responsibilities

• One-on-one support for a student, following individualized plans
• Collaborating with classroom teachers to reinforce instruction and provide behavioral support
• Assisting with daily activities and instructional materials
• Fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom atmosphere
• Monitoring and reporting on student progress as needed
