This contract paraprofessional role focuses primarily on 9th and 10th grade students, offering both group and individualized assistance to help them thrive academically and socially. The position involves collaborating closely with teachers and other professionals to ensure each student receives the support they need.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting classroom activities for high school students, with most interactions involving grades 9 and 10
• Providing one-on-one or small group assistance to students with diverse needs, fostering an inclusive learning environment
• Assisting in the implementation of individualized education programs (IEPs) under the guidance of certified teachers and staff
• Promoting positive student behaviors and supporting classroom management strategies
• Helping students stay engaged, on-task, and progressing toward their goals
• Tracking student progress and providing observations as requested

Qualifications and desired experience:

• Prior experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar supporting educational role preferred
• Familiarity with inclusion classroom dynamics and working with high school-aged students
• Strong communication skills and a supportive, encouraging approach
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and act in accordance with school policies
• Patience, adaptability, and a genuine interest in student success
