Classroom Assistant | Denver, Colorado

Qualifications & Experience:

• Two completed professional RefAssured references are required for consideration.
• Prior paraprofessional experience, particularly in school settings.
• Strong background in behavior management.
• Experience supporting individuals with significant or severe needs is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with communication devices is a plus.
• Must possess reliable transportation to ensure prompt arrival by 8:00am daily (public transit, ride-shares, and taxis are not considered reliable for this role).
• Ability and willingness to assist with personal care tasks, including toileting and diapering, as needed.
• Candidates must undergo fingerprinting immediately after offer acceptance; any criminal charges may result in disqualification.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work 37.5 hours weekly at Transition Services, supporting students ages 18–21+ within both school and community environments.
• Implement behavioral strategies while promoting independence and social skills development.
• Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to develop and carry out student-centered plans.
• Assist students using communication devices to enhance participation.
• Provide personal care support to meet individual student needs.
