Customize your schedule with either a part-time opportunity (Monday to Wednesday) or embrace a full-time path (Monday to Friday, involving travel between two sites) for the upcoming school year.

Your primary focus will be building trust, setting clear boundaries, and fostering independence for a student who thrives on consistency and structure. The role calls for someone with outstanding behavior management skills and an ability to establish a strong, positive presence in daily interactions. Your expertise will empower the student to achieve academic and social growth.

Desired Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Para Certification, Associate’s degree, or Praxis strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated experience working one-on-one with students, especially those requiring behavioral or developmental support
  • Proven ability to maintain firmness, consistency, and clear expectations, with an empathetic yet authoritative demeanor
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Capable of managing and de-escalating behaviors in a calm, professional manner

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized guidance and instructional support on a 1:1 basis with a fourth-grade female student
  • Set and reinforce clear behavioral expectations, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment
  • Track and report progress, collaborating regularly with teaching staff to support student plans
  • Help implement strategies fostering independence in the classroom and beyond
  • Adapt support based on evolving student needs across varied situations
