Classroom Assistant | Derry, New Hampshire

Make an incredible difference as a 1:1 classroom support professional, working with a bright and energetic 6-year-old kindergarten student for the remainder of the 2026–2027 school year. This contract opportunity is located near Derry, NH, and spans from ASAP through June 2027. You'll work a consistent 32–35 hour week in an elementary school setting, offering individualized support in both academics and behavioral growth.

Ideal candidates thrive in early childhood environments and have proven school-based experience managing and supporting behavior in young learners. Your expertise will encourage progress, boost confidence, and create meaningful days for this student. While an RBT credential is appreciated, it is not required for this role—strong behavioral skills and experience are a must.

What You'll Need:

• Prior experience supporting students with behavioral needs in a school setting
• Familiarity with elementary-age learners, especially kindergartners
• Ability to respond with patience, creativity, and professionalism
• Willingness to be a reliable, positive presence for your assigned student each day
• Clear background and reference checks per local requirements

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 guidance to a kindergarten student within classroom routines
• Implement recommendations and strategies set by education and behavioral teams
• Track student progress and contribute daily observations to the IEP process
• Support social, behavioral, and academic development through positive reinforcement
• Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to foster student growth
