Desired Qualifications:
- Paraprofessional experience in a school setting, especially elementary
- Demonstrated ability to support students with disabilities
- Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living (feeding, toileting, mobility)
- Patient, empathetic, and committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Work 1:1 with an elementary-aged student, providing individualized academic and personal support throughout the school day
- Assist with feeding, toileting, and other personal care needs in a respectful, supportive manner
- Collaborate with special education teachers and related service staff
- Help foster a safe, positive, and inclusive educational experience for the student
- Adapt to daily changes and follow individualized education plans (IEPs)
