Qualifications:

• Previous experience working as a paraprofessional in educational settings
• Proven experience supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
• Ability to implement individualized accommodations and support non-readers/writers
• Strong communication skills and patient, empathetic demeanor
• Commitment to fostering inclusion, independence, and engagement for students with special needs

Responsibilities:

• Offer dedicated 1:1 assistance to a middle school student throughout the school day
• Implement behavior, learning, and communication strategies specially tailored for ASD
• Assist with academic tasks, adapting materials and methods as needed
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to ensure appropriate accommodations and modifications
• Promote positive social interactions and participation in classroom activities
• Document daily progress, successes, and areas of concern to inform educational planning
