Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience as a Paraprofessional in a school or similar educational environment
  • Understanding of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and willingness to support diverse learning needs
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other staff
  • Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework or paraprofessional certification preferred
  • Adaptability and professionalism in dynamic school settings

Responsibilities:

  • Provide classroom assistance to certified teachers and special education staff
  • Support students one-on-one or in small groups to promote academic and social growth
  • Assist with the implementation of lesson plans and individualized strategies
  • Facilitate student participation and engagement in classroom activities
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all students
  • Track and document student progress as directed by teachers or instructional leaders
  • Follow school policies, confidentiality rules, and health/safety standards
