Step into a fulfilling opportunity serving middle school students as a dedicated paraprofessional and behavior specialist. This full-time, contract assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through the end of the school year. Work closely with a diverse caseload of middle schoolers, making a positive daily impact as you support students with significant needs in their academic and personal growth.

What you'll bring to the table:

• Experience working in schools as a paraprofessional and/or behavior specialist
• Confidence supporting students with "high needs"
• Ability to collaborate effectively with special education and general education teams
• Registration with DEEDS is required (must be current)
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Compassion, resilience, and adaptability when responding to challenging behavior

Key responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and small group support to middle school students, fostering an inclusive and productive learning environment
• Implement individualized behavior intervention strategies and support plans designed by educational staff
• Collaborate with teachers, case managers, and families to monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
• Assist with classroom management and help create a safe, encouraging space for every learner
• Maintain clear and accurate documentation of student behavior and progress
