Key Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar support role within a school
- Ability to provide three professional references, including your most recent supervisor
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with teachers, staff, and students
- Must provide one of the following: a valid Paraprofessional II certificate, official transcripts showing post-secondary credits equivalent to an Associate’s Degree, or a completed Associate’s/Bachelor’s degree
- Commitment to working the full contract period from September 1, 2026, to June 16, 2027
Responsibilities and Expectations:
- Assist classroom teachers in delivering instructional support tailored to student needs
- Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, and lunch/recess periods
- Support individualized instruction and small group activities to reinforce learning concepts
- Implement strategies under teacher guidance to help students achieve academic goals
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning atmosphere for all students
- Collaborate with colleagues to monitor and document student progress, behavior, and participation
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards at all times
This contract role offers a regular weekday schedule of 32.5 hours per week (8:05 am to 3:05 pm), providing structure and consistency throughout the academic year.
