What we’re looking for:

• Prior experience as a paraprofessional, classroom aide, personal care assistant, or related role in educational settings preferred
• Comfort assisting children who may require hands-on support with toileting, changing garments, and personal care
• Ability to closely observe, document, and communicate changes in student health—especially for those with seizure disorders
• Strong sense of empathy and respect for student privacy and dignity
• Willingness to collaborate with the school nurse and classroom team
• Adaptability and patience when responding to students’ diverse needs

Primary responsibilities:

• Support medically fragile students in their daily routines, both academically and with health/personal care needs
• Assist with toileting, garment changes, and hygiene to ensure student comfort and dignity
• Carefully monitor students for health concerns, communicate observations, and maintain accurate data, particularly regarding seizure activity
• Work under the direction of teachers and health staff to implement care plans and classroom activities
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
