Special Education Para Professional in Durham, NH

A rewarding opportunity is available for an experienced Paraprofessional to provide essential support to high school students in a contract position. This full-time role starts as soon as possible and continues through mid-June 2026. You will work closely with educators to foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment for learners.

Key Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a Paraprofessional in a school setting preferred
• Familiarity with supporting high school-aged students
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and support staff
• Demonstrated commitment to fostering student growth and independence
• Strong communication and organizational abilities
• Patience, empathy, and adaptability in a dynamic classroom environment

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers with instructional and classroom management duties
• Provide targeted support to high school students, including individuals with diverse learning needs
• Help implement individualized education plans (IEPs) as directed
• Facilitate both group and one-on-one learning activities
• Support students in developing academic, social, and behavioral skills
• Participate in relevant meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities
• Help create a safe, welcoming, and respectful classroom atmosphere
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff

This position offers a consistent weekday schedule, Monday through Friday, from 7:40am to 2:30pm. As a member of the educational team, you will play a significant role in shaping students’ growth and success within a supportive high school setting.
