Qualifications:
- At least two years of college credits from an accredited institution, or an associate degree or higher
- Alternatively, a passing score on an approved academic assessment (ParaPro, ParaPathways, The Master Teacher), or meeting competencies per the MDE-approved grid
- PCA certificate (or willingness to obtain—free online course available, completion in under an hour)
- Ability to provide proof of qualifications and certification for district submission
- Dedication to attending a required orientation, held exclusively on Wednesdays at 1:30pm
- Strong communication skills, reliability, and a team-oriented mindset
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to students in the classroom, assisting with both academic and social development
- Collaborate with educators to implement instructional strategies and adapt materials for individual student needs
- Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture aligned with the “focus program” objectives
- Support students with various abilities, ensuring safety and engagement throughout the school day
- Maintain accurate records and report on student progress as required
This role is offered on a contract basis, with a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week through June 2026. Ten positions are available, all fully onsite. The district offers a welcoming professional community and the chance to support transformative student growth.
