Desired Qualifications:

• Two years of college credits from an accredited institution, an associate degree or higher, or a passing score on an approved academic assessment (ParaPro, ParaPathways, The Master Teacher)
• Alternatively: meet competencies as outlined in the MDE-approved grid
• PCA certificate (or willingness to obtain—training provided free and is quick to complete)
• At least one year of professional experience working with school-aged children
• Preferred: two or more years of paraprofessional experience within a school environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a substitute paraprofessional on a per diem basis, working 6.5-hour days as needed throughout the school year
• Support classroom teachers by assisting with instructional and non-instructional tasks
• Foster a positive learning environment and provide individual or group student support
• Adapt quickly to different classroom routines and expectations
• Follow all site-specific procedures and maintain confidentiality
