Qualifications:

• Meet requirements for “highly qualified para”
• Completion of at least two years of college coursework (60 semester credits or equivalent) from an accredited institution OR
• Hold an associate degree or higher OR
• Successfully pass a formal assessment, competency grid, or para exam
• Ability to adapt and thrive across diverse academic levels (early childhood, elementary, or high school)
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with students, educators, and families
• Positive attitude, reliability, and a collaborative mindset

Key Responsibilities:

• Support classroom teachers in implementing lesson plans and daily routines
• Provide individualized attention to students, facilitating academic or behavioral goals
• Assist with classroom management and support students’ engagement in activities
• Foster a supportive, encouraging, and inclusive environment for all learners
• Monitor student progress and communicate observations with educational teams
• Help facilitate a proactive and safe learning atmosphere tailored to varying developmental stages
