Instructional Assistant - Eden Prairie, Minnesota

Qualifications and Experience:

• Recognized as a “highly qualified para” under state guidelines
• ONE of the following is required:
  • Completion of at least two years of college credits (60 semester credits or the equivalent) from an accredited institution
  • Associate degree or higher
  • Successful completion of a formal assessment or competency grid such as the Parapro Test
• Experience working within school settings, preferably supporting K-12 students
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and faculty
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and other classroom professionals

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide instructional support under the supervision of certified teachers
• Assist with classroom management and help implement lesson plans
• Support students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts
• Adapt instructional materials to meet diverse learning needs
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment
• Contribute to maintaining student safety and a productive learning atmosphere
