This role offers weekday hours from 8:45am to 4:00pm, supporting students in a dedicated classroom focused on special education needs.

Required Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience working with school-aged children in a professional setting (minimum of 1 year)
• Completion of at least two years of college credits at an accredited institution, or an associate’s degree or higher, or a passing score on a recognized academic assessment (such as ParaPro, ParaPathways, or The Master Teacher), or proof of competency by meeting MDE approved standards
• Willingness to obtain a PCA certificate (free and brief training available)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two or more years of professional experience as a school-based paraprofessional

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized support to students in a high-needs classroom
• Assist lead teachers in delivering instruction and reinforcing learning objectives
• Support classroom management, routine transitions, and a safe, communicative classroom setting
• Collaborate constructively with other educational staff and families to nurture student growth
• Adapt to student needs with patience, resilience, and enthusiasm
