Desired Qualifications:

• Experience as a school-based paraprofessional or working in educational settings
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport and foster trust with students
• Understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and willingness to follow them closely
• Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills
• Ability to collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or para certification a plus

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated, one-on-one support to a student throughout the school day
• Assist with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional goals
• Implement teacher-developed lesson plans and behavior strategies
• Help manage transitions and maintain a positive, inclusive atmosphere
• Foster independence while offering appropriate guidance
• Record observations and communicate regularly with educators and support staff
• Participate in team meetings and professional development as needed
