Special Education Para Professional in Elk River, MN

This contract opportunity runs from early September 2026 through mid-June 2027, offering a consistent weekday schedule of 32.5 hours per week. Contribute your expertise within a collaborative environment at an engaging elementary school, with openings in resource programming, Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) centerbase programming, and the Ready Set LAUNCH centerbase initiative. What you’ll bring:
• Demonstrated experience or strong interest working as a paraprofessional in school settings
• Willingness to assist with a range of student needs, including toileting as part of daily responsibilities
• Highly qualified status via ONE of the following: passing the MN Para Educator Exam or completion of at least 60 college credits (transcripts required; diplomas not accepted)
• Ability to provide both a current resume and a highly qualified credential for consideration
• Team spirit and adaptability in supporting diverse learners

What you’ll do:
• Foster a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment alongside educators
• Assist students with academic tasks, personal care, and behavior supports
• Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, special education staff, and related service providers
• Support students in achieving individual education plan (IEP) goals
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Compensation for this role is set at $20 per hour.
