Embark on a meaningful contract position supporting elementary students as a paraprofessional at a vibrant school environment near Elk River, MN. This opportunity offers three highly-qualified paraprofessional roles working with diverse groups of young learners and a dedicated educational team.

You’ll play a key role by providing essential educational support in either a center-based classroom or in resource/Setting 1 & 2 environments. The Setting 1 & 2 positions include a unique split-shift structure, where you’ll assist different grade levels in the morning and afternoon, creating variety and new learning experiences every day. As part of your responsibilities, supporting students with daily tasks—including toileting as needed—is expected from all support staff to ensure every student’s success and well-being.

Qualifications:

  • Must meet Minnesota’s highly qualified paraprofessional criteria through one of the following:
    • Passing score on the MN Board Highly Qualified Para Exam
    • Completion of at least 60 college credits — official transcripts required (not a diploma/degree photo)
  • Experience supporting students in school settings is strongly preferred
  • Team-oriented mindset, adaptability, and commitment to child-centered support
  • Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with students, staff, and families
  • Willingness to assist with personal care (including toileting)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide instructional and behavioral support within assigned classrooms and grade levels
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and adaptive learning atmosphere
  • Assist with classroom management and daily routines
  • Collaborate with teachers and related staff to implement individualized support
  • Participate enthusiastically in the daily life of the school community

This contract begins September 3rd, 2026, and extends for 90 days, with the exciting opportunity to transition to a direct-hire role upon completion. You’ll work Monday through Friday, 32.5 hours per week, from 9:10 AM to 4:10 PM—striking a balance between professional impact and personal flexibility. Compensation for this role is $20 per hour.
