Instructional Aide in Elk River, MN

Step into a vital role supporting special education services as a Paraprofessional with a specialized focus on evaluation coordination. Based from the Education Service Center, you'll be on the move throughout Champlin, MN, assisting schools in optimizing support for students with diverse needs. This contract position runs from September 8, 2026, to June 8, 2027, offering 32.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.

In this unique role, you won’t work directly with students—instead, you’ll collaborate closely with special education teams, facilitating and streamlining essential evaluation processes. If you’re highly organized, able to thrive in a fast-paced setting, and skilled at managing multiple priorities, you will make a real difference for both staff and students.

Key Qualifications:

• Must meet one of the following Highly Qualified requirements:
  • Pass the Minnesota Para Educator Exam
  • At least 60 college credits, with transcripts available
• Strong ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate with education professionals

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support special education evaluation teams by managing student files and testing protocols
• Conduct and document student observations, and produce summary write-ups
• Purge evaluation files and maintain accurate records for multiple school sites
• Proactively assist staff in completing timely and thorough special education evaluations

Additional Details:

• Contract position, with eligibility for direct hire following 422 hours of service
• Compensation set at $20 per hour
