Support young learners as a vital paraprofessional, working with children ages 2 1/2 to 3 in a center-based educational program. This contract role provides a stable Monday through Friday schedule from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm, allowing you to make a meaningful difference during consistent school-day hours. Starting September 8, 2026 and running through December 7, 2026, you’ll play an integral part in nurturing early development and educational foundations in a reputable district.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Must be Highly Qualified as a Paraeducator in Minnesota through one of the following:
- Completion and passing score on the MN Para Educator Exam (official proof required)
- At least 60 approved college credits (official transcripts required—diplomas or degrees do not suffice)
- Previous paraprofessional or early childhood classroom support experience is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to support children ages 2 1/2 to 3 in a group setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to provide a current resume and required Highly Qualified documentation upon application
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist lead teachers in delivering individualized and small-group instruction
- Support the developmental, social, and academic growth of young learners
- Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment within a center-based program
- Implement daily routines, transitions, and behavior support strategies
- Foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families
- Collaborate closely with educators and specialists as part of a multidisciplinary team
