Para Professional in Elk River, MN

Make an impact supporting K-12 students in a specialized educational setting as a Paraprofessional for a school-based program. This contract position offers an opportunity to work directly with students in a dynamic environment from September 8, 2026, through December 7, 2026, Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. If you have a passion for helping young learners thrive and meet the highly qualified standards, this role could be an excellent fit.

Qualifications:

• Must be highly qualified through one of the following options:
  • Pass the Minnesota Para Educator Exam (MN Board Highly Qualified Para Exam)
  • Complete at least 60 college credits (official transcripts required)
• Experience working as a paraprofessional or in an educational support role is strongly preferred
• Ability to build rapport with students in a K-12 setting, especially those with diverse learning needs
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Support individual and small groups of K-12 students within a Setting 4 program, helping them access curriculum and activities
• Work collaboratively with certified teachers and staff to implement instructional strategies
• Provide behavioral and academic support in accordance with student needs and program goals
• Assist with related tasks to foster a positive learning environment

Additional Information:

• The role is contract-based, with the potential for direct hire after 422 hours of service
