Instructional Assistant - Elk River, Minnesota

Seeking dedicated paraprofessionals passionate about making a difference in elementary education! Exciting contract opportunities are currently available in a variety of school settings throughout the Anoka-Hennepin area. This role supports students and teachers across several respected elementary schools, each with its own unique team and culture. Role Highlights:

• Support classroom teachers and special education teams in delivering engaging instruction and reinforcing learning goals.
• Work one-on-one or in small groups with students, fostering positive academic and behavioral outcomes.
• Utilize patience, compassion, and creativity to engage young learners at diverse ability levels.
• Assist with classroom organization, preparation of materials, and managing daily routines.
• Collaborate closely with educators and related service staff to deliver individualized support.

Required Experience and Credentials:

• Must meet one of the following to be considered “highly qualified”:
  • Pass the MN Board Highly Qualified Para Exam (Para Educator Exam)
  • Or possess at least 60 college credits (official college transcripts required).
• Previous experience as a paraprofessional in educational settings highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to follow teacher direction are essential.
• Reliable transportation and awareness of school location mandatory—please identify your preferred site when applying.

Role Details:

• Contract position, Monday through Friday, 32.5 hours per week, with the opportunity to transition to direct hire after the contract period.
• Pay: $20 per hour.
