Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a paraprofessional, instructional aide, or classroom support preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effectively working with students, teachers, and families
  • Patience, adaptability, and compassion when supporting diverse student needs
  • Ability to follow teacher direction and school policies
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive classroom atmosphere

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers with classroom management, instructional support, and small group activities
  • Provide one-on-one or group support for students requiring additional help academically or behaviorally
  • Implement lesson plans and educational activities as directed by the lead teacher
  • Assist with the supervision of students in classrooms, hallways, and during transitions
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
  • Support the development of student independence and social skills
