1:1 Care 1:1 Special Education Para Professional in Everett, WA

As a Bus Aide supporting school-aged children, you’ll provide essential 1:1 or 2:1 care for students during their daily school bus rides. This contract position offers steady, part-time hours and the chance to make a real difference from now through May 29, 2026.

Key Qualifications:

• Experience as a Paraprofessional or Certified Nursing Assistant, or a strong desire to work in a school-based setting.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially with children and students with unique needs.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work early mornings and afternoons.
• Comfortable providing supervision and support during student transport.
• Compassionate, patient, and attentive to individualized student care.

Responsibilities:

• Assist students as they board and exit the school bus, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Monitor and support students throughout their ride, providing 1:1 or 2:1 care based on student needs.
• Maintain a secure environment by addressing student concerns and assisting the bus driver as needed.
• Communicate effectively with school staff and families, promoting a positive atmosphere.
• Adapt to the unique needs of each student, responding calmly to any challenges that arise.
• Uphold confidentiality and adhere to school protocols throughout each shift.

This opportunity features a Monday-Friday schedule, working approximately 90 minutes in the morning (between 6:30 am and 8:30 am) and 90 minutes in the afternoon (between 2:30 pm and 4:30 pm).
