Make a positive impact every day supporting students as a bus aide providing 1:1 or 2:1 care on daily school transportation routes. If you have a background as a paraprofessional or Certified Nursing Assistant and are seeking a meaningful contract position in the Seattle area, this opportunity offers a rewarding way to contribute while maintaining a flexible, part-time schedule.

In this position, you’ll assist students during transport, ensuring their comfort and safety while helping to create a welcoming, accessible environment on the bus. You’ll work closely with drivers, school staff, and students who benefit from additional care, making a difference from the moment each child begins and ends their school day.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience as a paraprofessional, bus aide, or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
  • Compassion and patience when working with children, especially those needing extra support
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Reliable transportation and punctuality
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to varying routes and student needs

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 or 2:1 student care and supervision on the bus, both in the morning and afternoon
  • Assist students in boarding, seating, and exiting the bus safely
  • Support students with mobility challenges or special needs as directed
  • Foster a calm, supportive atmosphere, addressing any issues promptly
  • Communicate effectively with transportation staff and school teams

This contract runs from ASAP through May 29, 2026, with a schedule of 90 minutes in the morning (typically between 6:30–8:30 am) and 90 minutes in the afternoon (around 2:30–4:30 pm), totaling approximately 15 hours weekly. Sites may vary within Seattle and neighboring communities.
