Support students in their academic and social-emotional development by utilizing your expertise as a paraprofessional or 1:1 tutor. This role is ideal for compassionate, dedicated individuals who are ready to make a difference in students’ daily lives, with opportunities to work in both school settings near Evergreen, CO, and as a tutor supporting a bright, motivated 2nd grader in Black Hawk, CO.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience as a paraprofessional, school aide, or 1:1 tutor
- Background working with children, particularly those with social emotional needs
- Ability to provide individualized attention and establish clear boundaries
- Skilled in building rapport to help students feel supported and motivated
- Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
- Flexibility to adapt to students’ unique learning styles
Responsibilities:
- Provide hands-on support to students within the classroom or in a one-on-one setting
- Foster a positive, structured environment that encourages engagement and success
- Adapt materials and routines to meet the student’s individual academic and emotional needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure holistic growth
- For the tutoring role: work approximately 10 hours weekly with a 2nd grader at the Gilpin County Public Library, focusing on consistent routines and positive reinforcement, starting August 10
