An exciting contract opportunity is available for a dedicated paraprofessional to provide essential support in a welcoming elementary environment. This position is located near beautiful Evergreen, CO, and features a unique 4-day school week schedule, working Monday through Thursday, 7:45 am to 3:45 pm. There is an urgent need for a caring individual who can make a positive impact while assisting a friendly 5th grade student with a cognitive disability.

Key Qualifications:

• Previous experience working as a paraprofessional in educational settings
• Understanding of and sensitivity to the needs of students with cognitive disabilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated patience, flexibility, and adaptability in a classroom environment
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, specialists, and families
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional related training or certification is a plus

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to the assigned student throughout the school day, assisting with academic tasks and fostering independence
• Support individualized education goals as guided by teachers and specialists
• Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment
• Assist with implementing classroom routines, behavior plans, and instructional activities
• Foster social skills and encourage peer interactions for the student
• Reinforce lesson content and adapt materials as needed for the student’s understanding and engagement
