1:1 Para Professional in Fairfield, ME

Step into a rewarding role providing one-on-one support as an Education Technician at a welcoming school community near Fairfield, ME. This full-time, contract position runs Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 2:15 PM, starting as soon as possible and continuing through the end of the academic year, with the possibility for renewal. You’ll play a vital part in helping students succeed, working closely in a classroom environment and partnering with certified teachers and other education professionals.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Ed Tech III Certification is required for consideration
• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a one-to-one student support setting preferred
• Ability to build trust and rapport with students and staff
• Flexibility in adapting to changing student needs and classroom dynamics
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Dedication to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized assistance to a designated student, including academic, social, and daily support
• Implement lesson plans under the direction of the classroom teacher
• Monitor student progress and collect relevant data
• Facilitate communication between students and staff
• Support classroom management and behavioral interventions as needed
• Encourage positive engagement, independence, and self-advocacy skills
