Instructional Assistant - Fall River, MA

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or RBT working with elementary-aged children
• Ability to support students with academic and behavioral needs in classroom and small group settings
• Strong communication skills and positive, professional attitude
• Flexibility to adapt to changing classroom situations and individual student needs
• High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant certifications are a plus

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist classroom teachers with instructional activities and behavior management
• Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all students
• Work one-on-one or in small groups to reinforce lessons and provide additional guidance
• Help implement individualized education plans (IEPs) as directed by certified staff
• Support students with personal care tasks or mobility as needed
• Document student progress and communicate observations to the teaching team
