In this role, you will work closely with teachers and students to ensure every child’s academic and social growth. Your ability to reinforce classroom routines, assist with assignments, and support both academic and behavioral success will be invaluable.

Qualifications:

  • At least 60 college credits completed
  • Prior experience working with children, especially in a school or educational setting, is preferred
  • Excellent communication abilities and interpersonal skills
  • Collaborative mindset to work with teaching staff and administrators
  • Dependable, patient, and genuinely passionate about supporting student achievement

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group assistance to students during lessons and classroom activities
  • Support students in their daily academic tasks while reinforcing positive classroom behaviors
  • Help address students’ behavioral, social, and emotional needs in structured and creative ways
  • Assist the lead teacher with classroom management, supervision, and transitions
  • Encourage and foster skills for independence and daily living as appropriate for each child
  • Build strong relationships with students and staff to better understand and meet individual student goals
  • Uphold a safe, positive, and inclusive atmosphere for all learners
