Teacher's Aide | Farmington, Connecticut

This contract position, located near Farmington, CT, offers a meaningful opportunity to work onsite with a dedicated team from October 1 through November 30, with the potential for extension. The schedule allows for work-life balance: weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and Wednesdays with an early 1:00 PM finish.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Prior experience as a paraprofessional in educational or therapeutic settings
• Training or background supporting students with social-emotional or behavioral challenges
• Strong communication skills, patience, and adaptability
• Demonstrated ability to build rapport with students and collaborate effectively with school staff
• Reliability, punctuality, and a proactive approach to daily challenges

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, individualized support to a student to encourage participation and success in classroom activities
• Implement behavior support strategies under the guidance of onsite educators and therapists
• Assist with social-emotional learning and facilitate positive peer interactions
• Monitor and document student progress, sharing observations with the school team
• Foster a safe and supportive classroom environment
