Embark on a meaningful contract opportunity supporting students in a school setting near Flint, MI for the 2026-2027 academic year (ASAP start through June 11th). This role offers diverse placement possibilities, from 1:1 support in classrooms with students facing severe, cognitive, or emotional challenges, to working in general education settings with students requiring mild to moderate assistance. Your adaptability is valued, as placement may be tailored to both district needs and your preferences.

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 60 college credit hours (official transcripts required prior to submission), or
  • Associate degree or higher, or
  • ETS Paraprofessional Assessment score of 460+, or
  • SAT: Minimum of 480 in evidence-based reading/writing and 530 in math
  • Flexibility to support a variety of caseloads across all grade levels
  • Comfortable with tasks such as toileting and diapering for students with significant needs
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills

Responsibilities:

  • Work full-time (37.5 hours per week), hours may vary by school building (7:15am–3:15pm or 8:15am–4:15pm)
  • Provide support to assigned students, facilitating access to education and daily routines
  • Offer personal care assistance and reinforce learning and behavioral goals
  • Partner with educational staff to create safe, inclusive classroom environments
  • Attend virtual interviews as part of the hiring process
