Exciting contract opportunities are available for enthusiastic paraprofessionals in a dynamic school environment near Florissant, MO! The district is seeking three dedicated individuals to work full-time for the 2026-2027 academic year. As a valued school team member, you will provide vital support within a special education classroom, working collaboratively with teachers and specialized service staff to create an engaging, inclusive setting for all learners.

Key Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a school or classroom paraprofessional highly preferred
• Familiarity with supporting students receiving special education services
• Flexibility to adapt to varied classroom needs
• Ability to follow direction from teachers and related service providers (OT, PT, SLP, BCBA, Social Worker)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration
• Patience, reliability, and a genuine desire to help students thrive

Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in daily classroom management and instructional activities
• Work with students both individually and in small or large groups, fostering positive relationships and academic growth
• Implement adaptations and modifications as directed for individual student needs
• Follow guidance from related service staff to best support diverse learners
• Prepare instructional materials in advance to help facilitate teaching goals
• Provide supervision to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment

This full-time contract position features a Monday through Thursday schedule, working from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (with a 30-minute lunch), for 28 paid hours per week. Assignments run from August 17, 2026, through May 28, 2027, aligning with the district calendar and potential snow days. Caseloads will be determined upon assignment to best match your skills and experience.
