Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous experience as a Paraprofessional in a school setting, ideally supporting students with special needs or in inclusion/resource classrooms
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with students, teachers, and staff
• Patience, flexibility, and a compassionate approach to helping students overcome academic or social challenges
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certifications in special education are a plus
• Ability to follow behavioral and educational plans developed by teaching staff and specialists

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide consistent one-on-one support to a designated Resource/Inclusion student throughout the school day
• Assist with instructional activities, adapting materials and tasks to meet the student’s learning style and goals
• Collaborate closely with teachers and support staff to implement individualized education programs (IEPs), accommodations, and behavioral strategies
• Foster positive student engagement, encouraging participation and self-confidence in classroom activities
• Support the student’s transition between classes and during non-instructional periods as needed
• Maintain accurate records of progress and communication with educators and parents as directed
