Qualifications and Skills:

• Proficient fluency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a classroom support role preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to implement educators’ instructions with patience and care
• Compassion and commitment to supporting diverse learners
• High school diploma (or equivalent) required; additional training or certifications are a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct in-class support to students who utilize ASL as their primary mode of communication
• Facilitate understanding of lessons through clear, accurate ASL interpretation
• Assist educators with classroom activities, lesson modifications, and behavior management
