Take on a rewarding opportunity supporting elementary students as a 1:1 paraprofessional in a dynamic educational environment. In this contract position, you'll work closely with two elementary children who benefit from individualized guidance throughout the school day. These students, though non-aggressive, thrive with support in redirection and focus within a lively classroom setting.

Your day will follow the school’s schedule from 9:25 AM to 3:50 PM, providing consistent, hands-on assistance. You’ll play a vital role not only in helping students remain engaged during lessons but also in supporting physical needs, including toileting and diaper duties, to ensure their comfort, dignity, and independence. Your dedication will make a lasting difference in their academic and personal development.

Qualifications:

• Recent behavior management experience (essential)
• Ability to provide a reference from a manager within the past 2-3 years (application cannot proceed without this)
• Associate’s degree or equivalent is preferred
• Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to support children with varying needs
• Comfortable assisting with personal care tasks
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with classroom staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide supportive, one-on-one attention to two elementary students throughout the school day
• Redirect students as needed to minimize distractions and promote task completion
• Assist with toileting and diaper changes, maintaining cleanliness and comfort
• Document daily progress and report on any significant changes or achievements
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and administrators to support student goals
