Key Qualities & Experience Desired:

• Experience as a paraprofessional in a school setting is strongly encouraged
• Current GAPSC Para Certification is preferred
• Background working with students with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD) is helpful, though not required
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient approach
• Ability to work effectively one-on-one and within classroom groups

What You'll Do:

• Provide direct support to teachers and students, adapting to classroom or individual needs
• Assist with classroom instruction, activities, and behavioral support
• Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages student engagement
• Collaborate with faculty to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) or accommodations as directed
• Contribute to a safe and nurturing environment where all students can thrive
