Classroom Assistant | Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Exciting contract opportunity available for a skilled paraprofessional to make a real difference in a high school life skills classroom. Starting immediately and continuing through May 2027, you’ll be part of an engaging educational environment supporting students’ growth and classroom success. This position offers consistent weekday hours with a collaborative team, allowing you to build strong relationships and foster student achievement.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• At least one year of paraprofessional experience in an educational setting
• Paraprofessional certificate, 48+ college credits, or an associate’s degree or higher required (if not already held, the paraprofessional certificate must be obtained within 60 days of hiring)
• Strong communication skills, teamwork, and a genuine passion for supporting student learning
• Adaptable, reliable, and enthusiastic about working in a collaborative and supportive school environment

Role Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers with lesson activities, classroom management, and daily routines
• Provide individualized and group support for students with life skills needs
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured learning atmosphere
• Help facilitate student engagement in academic and daily living activities
• Document student progress and provide feedback to teachers
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all school policies and guidelines

This contract is full-time, Monday through Friday (7:00 AM – 2:30 PM), with up to 37.5 hours per week in a dynamic high school classroom. It’s an excellent opportunity to expand your experience and contribute to a caring community dedicated to student growth.
