Teacher's Aide - Glendale, California

Step into a vital supportive role and make a real difference in the lives of students for the 2026-2027 school year as a Bus Aide. This is a contract position with multiple openings available, offering a strong opportunity for renewal in future academic years. You’ll travel the scenic routes near Glendale, CA, and Denver, CO, helping to create a safe and positive environment for students as they commute to and from school.

In this role, you will work between 10 to 15 hours per week according to assigned bus routes, with typical morning shifts from 6:30 am to 8:30 am and afternoon shifts from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm. You’ll support students on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis, either side-by-side with a professional driver or in tandem with another aide. Caseloads center on students with diverse and special needs—candidates with experience in de-escalation, behavioral support, or who have previously supported young riders on a bus are especially valued.

Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Experience as a Paraprofessional or Certified Nursing Assistant
• Demonstrated ability to support children with special needs or behavioral challenges
• Verbal de-escalation expertise
• Prior experience riding a bus with students preferred
• Must complete onboarding and fingerprinting (with reimbursement provided after completion)

Key Responsibilities:

• Ride to and from school with assigned students, ensuring a supportive, safe atmosphere
• Assist with student pickup and drop-off procedures
• Communicate effectively with drivers, staff, and families as needed
• Report callouts promptly
