Step into a meaningful role supporting students as a Bus Aide for the 2026-2027 school year! Schools are seeking dedicated individuals to ensure safe and comfortable transportation for students, with strong potential for contract renewal. These contract positions are available in the Seattle, WA area and surroundings, with flexible hours in the mornings and afternoons to fit your schedule. You’ll be an essential companion to students during transit, contributing to a positive school experience for those who need it most.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ride with the student and bus driver to school each morning and home in the afternoon
• Pick-up starts from the student’s school, accompanying the bus to and from the student’s home
• Provide close supervision in a 1:1 or 2:1 setting
• Use verbal de-escalation skills to maintain a calm, supportive environment
• Offer care and support for students with special needs during bus rides
• Participate in onboarding both through us and the local educational department

Desired Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Paraprofessional or Certified Nursing Assistant is ideal
• Experience working with children with special needs
• Familiarity with bus aide or similar school transportation support duties
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain patient, compassionate, and attentive throughout bus routes

Role Details:

• Contract position with a strong potential for renewal into the following school year
• 10 to 15 hours per week based on route assignment
• Morning hours generally between 6:30 am – 8:30 am; afternoons 2:30 pm – 4:30 pm
• Openings for three dedicated aides
• Initial assignment extends through May 28, 2027, with chances to work during summer and return for the next school year
