Bring your passion for supporting students to a vital contract opportunity for the 26/27 school year! We are seeking three dedicated Bus Aides to provide essential assistance to students as they travel to and from school. This role is ideal for paraprofessionals or Certified Nursing Assistants who are comfortable working closely with special needs children and are committed to creating a safe, supportive environment.

You'll play an important role each day, accompanying drivers on routes—often providing 1:1 or 2:1 support—involving morning and afternoon shifts that typically occur from 6:30 am to 8:30 am and 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm, with total weekly hours ranging from 10 to 15 depending on specific assignments. Reliable aides are needed as soon as possible and will be engaged through the end of May 2027, with great potential for renewal during extended school year periods and the following school year.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Previous experience as a paraprofessional or Certified Nursing Assistant preferred
  • Strong communication and verbal de-escalation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to support children with special needs
  • Comfortable riding in a vehicle and assisting students throughout their journey
  • Prior experience accompanying students on school transportation is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accompany drivers and ensure the safety and well-being of assigned students while in transit
  • Provide compassionate, patient supervision during pick-up and drop-off routines
  • Manage daily logs and promptly report any absences or incidents
  • Collaborate effectively with school staff and families

This contract offers a structured weekly schedule with AM and PM hours, minimal weekly commitment, and a supportive team-oriented environment. Interviews will be 15 minutes and selected candidates will complete a dual onboarding process.
