This dynamic contract opportunity is ideal for paraprofessionals or Certified Nursing Assistants passionate about supporting children with special needs in a school setting. Multiple openings are available, based near Glendale, CA, with strong prospects for contract renewal and future assignments.

Key Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or CNA is highly valued
• Prior work with special needs children, especially within a school environment
• Experience riding school buses with students is preferred
• Proficient verbal de-escalation skills
• Strong reliability and communication abilities
• Willingness to complete onboarding sessions, including an in-person class

Responsibilities:

• Ride along on bus routes to ensure student safety from home to school and back
• Support assigned student(s) (1:1 or 2:1 caseloads), providing attentive care and assistance as needed
• Collaborate closely with school staff and fellow transportation team members
• Respond to behavioral or emotional needs with empathy and effective de-escalation strategies
• Maintain clear reporting for attendance and participation as required
• Participate fully in assigned onboarding processes to support a smooth start
