Instructional Aide - Gray, GA

Key Qualifications:

• Active, valid Paraprofessional Certification in Georgia (must have passed the Paraprofessional GACE and hold current certification)
• Previous experience in a school setting preferred, especially assisting students with special needs or visual impairments
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with teachers, students, and families
• Ability to reliably commute to Macon, GA, for the duration of the full school day (7:30am – 3:30pm), Monday through Friday
• Dependable and flexible, with a collaborative spirit and a commitment to student well-being

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide instructional support and assistance tailored to the unique needs of students with visual impairments
• Assist lead teachers in preparing and adapting educational materials for accessibility
• Support the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs) in classroom activities
• Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive atmosphere for all learners
• Monitor student progress and offer feedback to teachers to adapt instructional plans as needed
• Help with daily classroom operations, ensuring students’ safety and engagement
