Your responsibilities will include gathering students for their scheduled speech sessions, accompanying them to their designated therapy site, and actively supporting them throughout their virtual sessions. You’ll also provide essential hands-on help to the virtual therapist, acting as their "hands and feet" in the classroom—ensuring all technology is set up, managing emails, logging on to Teams, and handling downloads or printing as needed. Your attention and care help foster a positive therapeutic environment where students can succeed.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Prior experience as a paraprofessional or similar support role in a school environment
  • Demonstrated expertise with behavior management and student support
  • Comfort working with technology platforms such as Teams or similar virtual meeting tools
  • Ability to perform administrative tasks like organizing materials, downloading/printing documents, and managing communications
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to commute daily to the Macon area

Key Responsibilities:

  • Escort students to and from virtual speech therapy sessions
  • Support and supervise students during online services
  • Assist with technology setup and troubleshooting during sessions
  • Communicate regularly with the virtual therapist and school staff
