In this after-school position, you’ll provide valuable assistance to students who are deaf or hard of hearing at various educational sites in the Gridley, CA area. Key Qualifications:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is required
• Previous experience as a Paraprofessional in an educational setting preferred
• EIPA certification is not required for this role
• An approachable, patient, and supportive demeanor
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one or small group support for students who use ASL
• Assist in classroom activities, reinforcing lesson content through sign language
• Promote inclusive communication between students and educators
• Adapt instructional materials and methods for individual student needs
• Supervise students and ensure safety during after-school programming

Schedule and Setting:

• Daily hours are 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM
• Support students across multiple school sites
• 20-24 hours per week, ideal for balancing work and personal commitments
