Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Previous experience as a paraprofessional, teacher’s aide, or similar role in K-12 settings is highly beneficial
- Able to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with students, educators, and support staff
- Patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to student success
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; some districts may request additional coursework or certifications
- Capable of maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Responsibilities:
- Work one-on-one or with small groups of students to reinforce classroom instruction
- Support students with academic tasks, behavioral goals, and personal care as needed
- Assist in implementing lesson plans and adapting activities to different learning styles
- Supervise students in classroom, lunchroom, and playground settings
- Keep accurate records of student progress and provide feedback to lead teachers
- Help to maintain an organized, safe, and positive learning environment
