Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Experience working as a paraprofessional or in a classroom support role is strongly preferred
• Ability to follow teacher-directed instructional and behavioral supports
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with students, teachers, and staff
• Compassion, patience, and adaptability when engaging with children from diverse backgrounds and abilities
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to pass background checks as mandated

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist classroom teachers with instructional activities and provide one-on-one or small group support to students
• Help implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and classroom accommodations
• Support students’ social and emotional growth through positive reinforcement and encouragement
• Supervise students in a variety of settings including classrooms, hallways, and playgrounds
• Prepare classroom materials and assist with general classroom organization
• Model respectful and positive behavior for students to follow
